YOUR IMPACT Moscow Technology Team is a member of the firm's European Technology organization. The team provides technical solutions to a number of businesses located in the Moscow office such as Equity and Bond trading, Derivatives trading, Clearing and Settlement, as well as to non-revenue divisions. The team supports local accounting and reporting to external bodies such as the Central Bank of Russia, Moscow Exchange, Ministry of Finance and Tax Authorities. The Moscow architecture consists of the Diasoft vendor package integrated with global GS systems, 3rd party regulatory software and in-house developed solutions. Our group can offer unique opportunities for talented individuals with a desire to contribute with innovative ideas. RESPONSIBILITIES Primary job focus will be development of optimal solutions for the Moscow middle and back-offices including regulatory and financial reporting, streamlining and automating tasks. Further integration of the local applications with the global GS systems will be also a key function of the role. The candidate will participate in projects directed to adjust GS global systems to meet Russian regulations and support workflow in Moscow. As a member of international team, candidate will perform wide range of activities from analysis, software development, testing and implementation to providing end-user support. The candidate will have extensive interaction with users in Moscow Finance, Operations and Compliance departments, other GS IT areas (Technology Infrastructure, Front Office Technology, Treasury, Settlements etc.) as well as external vendors and Russian regulators. The candidate will report to Technology management in Moscow and London. While working on projects, he or she will have the opportunity to learn key aspects of the firm?s trading business, and understand both accounting practice and regulatory reporting. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Four years of software development experience in a commercial environment or equivalent working with financial applications in Russia Development experience - knowledge of object oriented analysis and design Must: proven experience in developing desktop applications using C# including WPF, WCF and Entity Framework Must: knowledge of relational databases MSSQL and Sybase ASE.
