Headquartered in US, WorldQuant is a quantitative investment firm founded in 2007 with over 700 employees globally. We seek to produce high-quality predictive signals (alphas) through our proprietary research platform. These signals are employed in financial strategies across a variety of asset classes and global markets.

BRAIN is a group within WorldQuant similar to a traditional B2C fintech setup. Our mission is to simplify quant finance and provide global opportunities for individuals to participate remotely in this initiative, while potentially learning ground breaking quant finance, AI and ML concepts. WorldQuant BRAIN provides an AI-based crowdsourcing platform for external participants to contribute alphas and various other models or algorithms to the firm’s business. BRAIN is comprised of an entire ecosystem within the firm that includes resources from various technology, data, business and operations groups throughout the firm globally. Today, BRAIN is still fairly young – though it’s a full featured business with forward looking plans that run into years.

 

The role

Be responsible for the business to grow and engage WorldQuant BRAIN’s user base in our largest territory, Russia. As the Russia leader, you will be the face of WorldQuant BRAIN to all the Russia users.

  • Define the Country’s growth strategy:
    • Work closely with the BRAIN global leadership and WorldQuant’s Russia Manager to build the WQBRAIN brand
    • Develop business case for new growth initiatives
  • Operations include:
    • Manage the workflow and operations for the WQBrain Russia team;
    • User Management: Includes acquisition, onboarding, engagement, support and lifecycle support
    • Engage with internal and external partners to implement the growth plan
    • Lead execution of key initiatives like promotions, competitions etc.
    • Manage recruitment campaigns for any volume hiring needs or brand building events;
    • Support WQBrain consultant candidates’ background check process and related tasks to ensure smooth onboarding experience;
    • Prepare necessary documentation for WQBrain consultants;
    • Provide support to WQBrain consultants, including, but not limited to, by arranging and assisting with training and informational and team building events (both online and offline);

 

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of English (both oral and written);
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Experience as a team leader, graduate or mass recruiter
  • Self-starter: has proven an ability to set up initiatives and see them to the end without supervision.
  • Product experience: Proven positive impact on user onboarding, conversion, growth or engagement metrics
  • Any of the following would be an added bonus
    • Proven track record of building /scaling a B2C business or online community
    • Previous strategy consulting or Wall Street experience
    • History as an entrepreneur
    • Experience in the quant or finance domains
  • Good knowledge of English (both oral and written);
