User Success Specialist (Russia WQBRAIN)

Headquartered in US, WorldQuant is a quantitative investment firm founded in 2007 with over 700 employees globally. We seek to produce high-quality predictive signals (alphas) through our proprietary research platform. These signals are employed in financial strategies across a variety of asset classes and global markets.

BRAIN is a group within WorldQuant similar to a traditional B2C fintech setup. Our mission is to simplify quant finance and provide global opportunities for individuals to participate remotely in this initiative, while potentially learning ground breaking quant finance, AI and ML concepts. WorldQuant Brain provides an AI-based crowdsourcing platform for external participants to contribute alphas and various other models or algorithms to the firm’s business. BRAIN is comprised of an entire ecosystem within the firm that includes resources from various technology, data, business and operations groups throughout the firm globally. Today, BRAIN is still fairly young – though it’s a full featured business with forward looking plans that run into years.

 

We are seeking an exceptionally talented engineer to join our user success team. The role has two aspects:

  • Troubleshooting user issues:
    • Be the first port of contact for all queries raised by our users. These will involve a fairly complex set of aspects including data, tech and signals (alphas)
    • Gather customer feedback and share with our Product, Sales and Marketing teams
  • Backend engineering:
    • Optimization, speed and soware quality – including load sequencing
    • Security and application access – including role management
    • Storage and data versioning
    • Web application server side
    • Scripts for basic automation like CI/CD Job

 

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Customer Support Specialist or similar CS role
  • Experience using help desk soware and remote support tools
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Python
  • Familiar with Unix
  • Familiarity with the quant or finance industry is a plus)
