Job Description:

Analyst is a full-time Moscow-based position within the Capital Markets Origination (CMO) team at Sova Capital. CMO team advises structures and executes a range of equity, equity-linked, debt offerings and liability management for major corporations.

The job combines an analytical-driven approach of corporate finance with a fast-paced drive of sales & trading. CMO collaborate with many parts of Sova Capital, including Legal, Compliance, Risk and Operations in Moscow and London. CMO spans across industry sectors and regions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing origination / marketing materials to pitch new transaction ideas to clients. You will be involved in the ECM/DCM coverage effort for a variety of corporate clients across industries within Russia & CIS.
• Perform initial capital requirement, modeling and liability management assessment of the client
• Take part in origination and execution of ECM & DCM transactions led by SOVA Capital.
• Assist in drafting public market updates to corporate clients on a regular basis.
• Assist in conducting investor targeting exercises and collection of investor feedback using a variety of sources including external databases (Bloomberg, FactSet), and internal teams (sales / syndicate / research / corporate access).
• Gain knowledge of securities market regulations, develop understanding of capital market fundamentals and investment bank ecosystem to make well-informed contributions that address clients’ needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred
• Prior experience (i.e. internship or entry level) in investment banking or business valuation/corporate finance department of Big4 companies, private equity firm, consulting
• Fluent in English & Russian both written and verbal
• Excellent academic credentials, ability to multi-task, organized, rigorous
• Excellent PowerPoint, Excel skills
• Knowledge of Bloomberg, Facset, Dealogic
• Solid understanding of corporate finance, accounting and business valuation
• Ability to work within a team, in a fast moving, results-driven environment
• Ability to work independently and to take initiatives
