Requirements: 6 to 8 years experience in Financial Services preferably within a control or compliance function; Strong educational background i.e. degree in finance, law or other relevant degree; Significant financial services experience and knowledge of Russian banking operations, regulatory and financial reporting; Excellent communicator, able to liaise with all levels junior to very senior and be able to clearly explain issues and appropriate solutions; Proactive and be able to work independently; Able to multi task utilising strong prioritisation skills. Must be organized; Strong leader with the proven ability to influence and motivate people; Strong character who is able to escalate identified issues, regardless of seniority; Good understanding of Russian regulatory requirements; Sound knowledge of the principles of an effective control environment; Experience in a control based function or role; Excellent spread-sheet and power-point skills; Understanding of product types, trading process and related risk or operational considerations; Excellent understanding of the complete Front to Back process of an Investment bank. Russian speaker with good English language skills.
Responsibilities: Work closely with the Control Functions (BORO; FID Controls; CFO Operational Risk Function, Internal Audit) and ensure that the region applies best practise. Implement a best in-class control framework across the region; Ensure compliance with the Central Bank of Russia s expectations of a proper functioning control environment by adapting existing Bank's controls; Partner with the other country COO s and adapt the existing Bank's controls infrastructure to meet the needs of local regulators; Co-ordinate across the region to ensure that the EMEA Country Governance Standards have been properly implemented and monitor compliance; Be the 1st point of contact for any control related queries / issues for Bank's management or relevant regulators; Document any control breaches and execute an appropriate remediation plan; Ensure a proper monitoring and surveillance frameworks are in place; Ensure that the control framework is properly documented and that adequate record keeping is in place; Escalate identified issues to management; Monitor the introduction of new products across all support departments and ensure that the control framework is adapted to meet any new risks; Work with responsible Shared Service Heads to monitor regulatory changes and ensure appropriate implementation; Attend FOBO and BPM meetings.
