Front Office Business Analyst

The role will involve: Responsibility for defining and documenting business requirements by interacting with Front Office, Operations and Compliance users Be the requirements Subject Matter Expert, managing and resolving questions arising from the development team, clients and management Participate & partner with clients in functional testing, UAT and go-live planning Be involved in production issue/resolution/solutioning that requires functional analysis MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintenance and incident management activities with respect to Fidessa application Maintenance and incident management activities with respect to in-house developed OMS Work with the traders on identifying and resolving trading issues which include orders (including electronic) execution, block trade data management (including allocations), commission calculation Liaise with infrastructure group to fix issues and define and implement trading technology infrastructure required initiatives Liaise with vendors on various application issues and projects Interaction with external Developers, QA and support teams User s training & coaching SKILLS: Good understanding and experience of working in front-office trading environment with specific exposure to cash equities trading and alternative execution platforms is essential 3+ years work experience in the financial services industry Knowledge of Equity Brokerage Trading/Operations Knowledge of Equity Trading Order Management Systems Knowledge of Fidessa ETP and/or USTP Experience in building/enhancements of IT procedures and processes Very strong written and oral communication skills are essential Strong analytical problem solving skills and decision making attitude Good prioritization and time management skills Display attention to detail, willingness to learn and must be proactive Calm and confident with stakeholders Strong written and oral English Knowledge of at least one of the following topics / processes is a big plus: FIX protocol Order lifecycle Trade Reporting Trade Capacity PnL and valuation strategies Instrument code types TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: ESSENTIAL Technical university degree Business Analysis Investment Banking experience Experience of working in a Front-Office environment Experience of Cash Equity Trading Excellent Business Analysis skills. Working experience of SQL.
