Summer Trainee Europe 2020

During this time the Summer Trainee will be staffed in three different countries on three different projects, lasting each 2 months. A.T. Kearney will cover travel costs and all expenses with regard to the housing in both cities abroad.

Summer Trainees learn to apply the fundamentals of management consulting to identify, study and solve business problems across a wide range of industries. You are a full member of the consulting team and play an integral part in engagements. As a Summer Trainee you develop models, perform complex analyses and work on research assignments both in the office and at client sites. Summer Trainees travel while on assignments, undertaking a broad range of activities. Summer Trainees are paired with A.T. Kearney consultants who serve as mentors, providing guidance throughout the internship. Mentors stay actively involved with the Summer Trainee and their project managers throughout the engagement. At the end of the internship Summer Trainees receive a detailed evaluation of their performance and feedback from project manager.

Qualifications

The Summer Trainee position is open for:

• students currently attending university bachelor degree with not more than 6 months left until graduation
• students that already graduated and plan to have a gap year between their bachelor and master studies
• Both needs to be vacant for 6 months fulltime

The following qualifications are preferred:

• Proven record of academic excellence
• International experience (work or study)
• A minimum of two internships in industry or consulting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities
• Forward-thinking and collaborative approach to problem-solving
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent knowledge of English (+ local language for many regions)
