Venture Capital Associate at Millhouse LLC

We review thousands of start-ups all over the world for investments and further support portfolio companies’ growth helping great entrepreneurs to build market leaders and develop disruptive technologies.

We are looking for a Venture Capital Associate for our Investment Team to help support our dynamic team in technology industries. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, familiar with the start-up ecosystem, have strong background within finance or VC, driven, articulate, and enjoy working with others in a fun and fast-paced environment. We are looking for creative problem solvers with a passion for innovation to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Constant outreach to investment opportunities around the globe 
• Perform competitive and market analysis
• Provide technology due diligence of investment opportunities
• Gathering information from the target company and industry experts
• Conducting background checks on the current management of the target company
• Reviewing and understanding investor documents and other capital raise details
• Finding accurate information from reputable sources
• Monitoring the venture capital and tech startup landscape
• Writing comprehensive reports about investment opportunities

Qualifications

• Ph.D/Master’s/Bachelor’s degree from leading university (MSU, HSE, MIPT, NES etc.)
• 3+ years of investment experience (VC, PE, investment banking, management consulting)
• Passion for startups and entrepreneurship
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate at all levels and thrive in a cross-functional, growth business environment
• Strong attention to details and exceptional work ethic as well as time and process management skills
• Understanding of financial statements, accounting and finance
• Experience with cash flow modeling and investment valuation techniques
• Ability to produce well designed professional looking reports and investment memos
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual, fluent in both English and Russian
