Job description:Main responsibilities
Budget execution tracking on a monthly basis
Obtaining meaningful explanations on actual vs budget variances
Forecasting process on a monthly basis
Supporting AFE owners in drafting AFE's
Tracking actual costs against AFEd ones
Providing analysis and obtaining meaningful explanations from AFE owners on variances
Providing the budget benchmark numbers to Budget Holders/AFE owners
Perform any required analysis of the performance of the Company
Maintaining all files/tables related to budgeting&forecasting reporting
Drafting the necessary presentations/slides
Proposing improvements to the system of budget&BLE-forecasting reporting, coding
Advising Operations and other Departments on budget/forecasting/AFE matters
Who we are looking for:General Requirements
Experience with an Operator is a plus
International exposure is a plus
Fluent English is a requirement
Suitability for a small Company environment
Technical Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of IFRS/GAAP accounting principles and reporting
Familiarity with a company's standard budgeting process and have past experience in actual annual budget preparation and implementation
Be familiar with oil industry AFE process and have experience of applying process to a company
Knowledge and experience in a standard authorization for expenditure process (Budget, AFE, PR, PO)
Have the ability to provide meaningful explanations of variances (Budget vs Actual, Budget vs Forecast, Forecast vs Actual)
Be able to know the major differences between RAP and IFRS/GAAP
Other abilities/expectations
ACCA qualification is a plus
