Job description This role will interact closely with the Director of Capital Markets working in a decision support function with specific responsibilities as follows:
Interact/Liaison with staff level at commercial banks regarding credit facilities and covenants
Creation and maintenance of financial models supporting project economics, cost/benefit analysis, and breakeven analysis
Monitor and interpret sector developments
Budgeting and forecasting
Economic/Industry analysis and fundamentals
Peer metrics, M&A activity, debt offerings, etc.
Ad hoc analysis at the direction of management
Who we are looking for: The successful candidate must have a highly analytical mindset, the ability to manage detailed financial and operational data modeling, exceptional communication and presentation skills, a keen interest in the inner workings of the oil and gas industry, and a team-oriented, can-do attitude. You will demonstrate an ability to draw information from multiple sources, define implications, and condense into a written report. You will have an enquiring mind and have the ability to have your market opinions and ideas taken seriously from day one.The ideal candidate may have a degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting with outstanding academics, but may also have studied mathematics, science or engineering. Interest in corporate finance as a career and CPA/CFA motivated desired and 1+ years of exposure in the E&P space in a growth role. Preference is given to those with strong expertise in financial modeling and the usage of Excel.Skills:
