GS Moscow FICC sales function exists in all products area, connecting the firm s resources with our institutional clients, such as central bank, sovereign wealth fund, banks, family offices, corporates, insurance companies, asset managers and funds. Our sales people focus on helping our clients to achieve their particular investment objectives, providing them not only with product expertise but also with immediate access to all areas of the firm.
The Moscow FICC Sales team within FICC focuses on Corporate and Private Equity clients, leveraging market insights provided by our broader institutional FICC business with corporate finance experience to provide holistic risk management solutions for our clients. The role extends from generating structured products ideas for investing clients, to corporate interest rate and currency flow trades, through to significant strategic hedges of currency and interest rate risk related to acquisitions and financings.
Role and responsibilities:
The individual will play a key role in our Regional Sales team in Moscow, working closely with our global trading and structuring teams, as well as legal and operations divisions. The individual will be actively involved in all aspects of team activities and work.
Help senior colleagues with day-to-day execution of key client activities and business development
Help with pricing and modelling of structured investment products, FX & Interest Rates Derivatives, work closely with credit (CVA) desks
Utilize knowledge of corporate finance, derivatives and financing to assist with the client dialogue and solutions
Support client and prospects related internal activity including presentations
Manage client onboarding process including following the regulatory framework
Help with internal work on trade settlement
Monitor corporate, bank and private equity landscape for strategic opportunities related to acquisitions, investments and financings
Provide administrative support for the team (data base management, pipeline run, client/product mapping) to help enhance the sales process
Skills and Competencies required:
A keen, long-term interest in investment banking and FICC securities, coupled with a demonstrated interest in financial markets
Strong academic record
Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong quantitative and technical abilities
Ability to multitask
Proactive team player
Prior work experience is financial industry is a strong advantage, but not pre-requisite
Ideally suited to Economics / Finance / Business students in Bachelor and Master degree programs in their ultimate or penultimate academic year, who are available to work with a flexible schedule.
